About the Campus
Year of Establishment: 2014
Vision:
To establish a premier centre for generating trained human resources through research, training and transfer of technology, and to develop technology which is regionally relevant and socially acceptable to fulfil the aspirations of people.
Background:
The centre was transferred from Government Horticulture Department in the year 2014. The altitudinal range of the centreis about 6000 feet above mean sea level. The centre has well established nursery of high quality walnut. Vegetable production also act as an additional source of income from the remaining area of horticulture crops. Several research project related to vegetable and walnut production are on the way.
On Going Research Activities:- Production of several vegetables like beans, broccoli, cabbage, radish etc.
- To make quality planting material of walnut available for local farmers.
- Plantation and maintenance of 50 different horticulture trees like 20 trees of apple, 3 of pear, 4 of chest nut etc.
